LOS ANGELES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – The return of Duane Lee Chapman alongside Leland Chapman skyrocketed Dog the Bounty Hunter ratings this week. With the exit of Duane Lee Chapman and Leland Chapman looming over the current season of the hit A&E show, many fans wondered the impact a return by Duane Lee would have on the ratings. The return prompted ratings gold, LALATE can report.
The return of Duane Lee resonated strongly with both the overall and younger demographic Wednesday night. Dog the Bounty Hunter skyrocketed in ratings Wednesday, finishing second in the 18-49 demographic. For that demographic, Dog posted one of the best numbers in recent memory, officials tell news.
The show drew an impressive 1.159 million adults this weekends. That put the telecast even ahead of recent ratings hit Duck Dynasty, which finished close behind for the night.
Overall, Dog the Bounty Hunter jumped exceptionally well in the overall viewership. The show pulled in 1.897 million viewers. Dog and the Chapmans finished fourth on cable TV that night, only behind South Park and American Restoration, and NBA programming.
Fans have not reacted well to the family’s breakup on screen, preferring them to stay together.
